The Noise My Leaves Make: Black British Women and Surrendering to Belonging
January 25 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Join director Dr Tia-Monique Uzor in a roundtable discussion about her CARICUK commissioned film The Noise My Leaves Make. Filmed in Leicestershire, The Noise My Leaves Make explores Black British women in the rural English environment. A space that has typically been denied to Black British women as a place of belonging, the three dancers claim the countryside as their own, finding sisterhood, connection, and joy.
All attendees will have the opportunity to watch the film 72 hours before the event.
After the conversation, there will be an opportunity for the online audience to ask questions via Youtube
This is a free online streamed event. Further details will be released to those registered on the day of the event.
